A Rapid Evidence Assessment was conducted to systematically review the UK and international literature to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions for persistent and prolific offenders in reducing re-offending behaviour. Interaction between behaviour and speech and language difficulties : does intervention for one affect outcomes in the other?

The aim of the review was to identify research which investigated the relationship between speech, language and communication difficulties (SLCD) and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) in children of primary school age (5–12 years) as both are common causes of concern for parents and teachers of young children. It was also to identify research which investigated whether intervening within one domain had the potential to influence outcomes in the other. This systematic review was published by EPPI-Centre in 2009.

This systematic review was published by EPPI-Centre in 2009.

There are three main types of block schedule investigated in this review.
