Mapping Sure Start Scotland

This summary report maps the development of services funded through Sure Start Scotland based on information provided by local authorities. The mapping exercise was carried out by a team at the Centre for Research on Families and Relationships (CRFR) commissioned by the Scottish Executive.

The report outlines the characteristics of Sure Start Scotland provision in Scotland that have emerged from the mapping exercise and identifies some key issues arising from the research. This includes describing services developed under Sure Start Scotland, a discussion of partnership issues, consideration of data about service use, and looking at factors identified by authorities as having helped or hindered the development of Sure Start Scotland programmes. It illustrates the issues with examples of Sure Start Scotland funded services taken from across Scotland.
