Rethink factsheets

The Rethink National Advice Service provides information and advice to people with mental illness, their family, friends, informal and professional carers on a range of issues affecting people with mental illness and their carers. They run a telephone advice line and an email advice service as well as taking written enquiries. This links to s series of about 40 factsheets in PDF.

Making sense of herbal remedies

Mind is a leading mental health charity in England and Wales and has produced information on many areas of mental health. Herbal medicine uses plant medicines, in many forms, to promote good health and to treat ill health. This booklet offers an introduction to Western herbal medicine, gives information about basic self-help and describes some of the herbs you can use. It also tells you how to find a herbal practitioner and offers sources of further help. The booklet is not designed to cover Chinese herbal medicine.

Understanding dual diagnosis

Mind is a leading mental health charity in England and Wales and has produced information on many areas of mental health. 'Dual diagnosis' is used in the health services to describe people with mental health problems, who also misuse drugs or alcohol. This booklet is for anyone who wants to know more about this.

Scottish Children's Reporter Administration website

The Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (SCRA) is the national body responsible for providing a world class care and justice system for all Scotland's children. SCRA became fully operational on 1st April 1996 and their main responsibilities are; to facilitate the work of Children's Reporters; to deploy and manage staff to carry out that work; and to provide suitable accommodation for Children's Hearings.
