Executive summary of Serious Case Review: child S

Serious Case Review that looks at the circumstances surrounding the sudden unexpected death of a young woman (Child S) in Rotherham. On Tuesday 12th October 2010 as a result of a search by South Yorkshire Police, Child S’s body was recovered from a canal. She had sustained multiple stab wounds. Child S was a 17-year-old single parent, having a four month old child (Infant A). Child S had been known to a number of agencies over a lengthy period.

It concludes with recommendations for journalists,local politicians and the Scottish Government.

Report that gives the views of young people who are about to leave boarding schools for adult life, of residential students in further education colleges, and of care leavers, about learning and preparing for life as independent adults.
