Executive summary of Serious Case Review: child S

Serious Case Review that looks at the circumstances surrounding the sudden unexpected death of a young woman (Child S) in Rotherham. On Tuesday 12th October 2010 as a result of a search by South Yorkshire Police, Child S’s body was recovered from a canal. She had sustained multiple stab wounds. Child S was a 17-year-old single parent, having a four month old child (Infant A). Child S had been known to a number of agencies over a lengthy period. As a result of the incident, the Rotherham LSCB Serious Case Review Panel met to discuss the case and it was decided that a Serious Case Review would be conducted.
