Education of children in need

A study suggesting ways to improve communication between schools and children's services is discussed. The study 'Multi professional communication: making systems work for children' by Georgian Glenny and Caroline Roaf, examined case studies over a seven year period in order to identify the ingredients of successful communication systems.

Effectiveness of the new Local Safeguarding Children Boards in England: interim report

A large scale study was conducted to examine whether Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs) have successful in overcoming some of the weaknesses in Area Child Protection Committees. This interim report draws upon research undertaken over the first 12 months (January 2008 - January 2009) of the research study.

Scottish Executive : Child Protection Review

This consultation exercise was conducted as part of the wider Child Protection Review. It was undertaken in 2001/2002 and comprised of a questionnaire circulated to a wide range of statutory and voluntary sector agencies involved with and concerned about matters relating to child protection; and a web site that was available for members of the general public to record their views and comments on, about matters relating to child protection.
