To practise what we preach: an exploratory survey of values in charities

Survey of various charity organisations of different sizes ranging from no employed staff to over 5000 employees.

Participating organisations were asked to complete an online survey composed of 14 questions. The anonymity of individuals and organisations within the overall results was guaranteed. However, based on responses, 19 organisations were selected and interviewed in more detail for specific case studies.

Co-production for health: a new model for a radically new world

A national colloquium was held in November for an invited audience of public health, primary care, and local authority leaders. The summit considered how organisations could start to use the new arrangements for public health and commissioning positively at the local level to deliver better health outcomes and a reduction in health inequalities in the context of budget constraint.

Report that looks at the existing objectives for DLA and the changes the Government hopes to bring about through the introduction of PIP (Personal Independence Payment); assesses the government’s consultation and communications process for the reform; examines the Government’s performance to date in assessing the likely impacts of the policy change; analyses the eligibility criteria and the new assessment for PIP; and assesses the proposals for implementation and contracting arrangements.

Scottish household survey analytical topic report: Characteristics and experiences of unpaid carers in Scotland

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Unpaid carers make a vital contribution to our society, and need to be supported and recognised by the NHS and local authorities as partners in care provision. The aim of the current report is to provide an indication of which types of carers may be in particular need of support, and examine the demographic characteristics of carers. The report analysed responses to the Scottish Household Survey between 1999 and 2004.
