Locked out: the Trailblazers' report into accessible housing

This investigation into accessible housing and the services of the UK’s housing providers was instigated following concerns raised by members of the Trailblazers network and their families when searching for accessible accommodation to rent or buy. Members reported having to wait years to find wheelchair-accessible homes, despite local authorities providing funds for adaptations to the homes of thousands of disabled people every year.

Plain tobacco packaging: a systematic review

This systematic review outlines findings from 37 studies that provide evidence of the impacts of plain tobacco packaging. The review was conducted following the publication of the March 2011 White Paper Healthy Lives: Healthy People which set out a renewed Tobacco Control Plan for England. One of the key actions identified in the plan was to consult on possible options to reduce the promotional impact of tobacco packaging, including plain packaging. Review published by Evidence for Policy and Practice Information and Co-ordinating Centre (EPPI-Centre).

Meeting children's needs for care and protection

The core aim of the series was to draw together national and international knowledge and professional, policy and research expertise in relation to the management, evaluation and research of everyday multiprofessional intervention to safeguard children. It comprised two linked elements.

The first focused on the issues involved in using adminstrative data routinely collected on children safeguarded in the community to better inform planning and delivery and research.

Why relationships matter for the early years: research evidence from CRFR

Briefing that aims to summarise and distil the relevant research conducted by CRFR over the past 10 years and findings from the Scottish Government funded Growing Up in Scotland (GUS) study which tracks the lives of 8000 Scottish families and their young children from birth. CRFR is actively involved in the analysis and dissemination of GUS findings.
