Cystic Fibrosis Trust web site

A UK charity dedicated to all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis. The charity works to: fund medical and scientific research; ensure appropriate clinical care for those with Cystic Fibrosis; and provide information, advice, support and, where appropriate, financial assistance to anyone affected by Cystic Fibrosis. The website contains details of their publications, including factsheets and booklets for people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families which are free to download; details of helplines and grants; and information about research funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Young runaways (Radio 4 series: Woman's Hour)

This episode of Radio 4's Woman's Hour series looks at the 100,000 children under 16 living in the UK who run away from home. We hear from a woman whose twelve year old daughter persistently ran away and was frequently returned to the family home by the police. Jill Colbert from the Safe in the City project in Salford - who works with young runaways - and John Wheeler from Childline will be joining Jenni Murray to discuss the difficulties that parents of runaways can face in accessing help.

National domestic violence delivery plan : annual progress report 2007/08

Document reporting progress made towards four goals in the effort to tackle domestic violence, namely to increase the early identification of and intervention with victims, to increase the capacity of the domestic violence sector to provide help and support, improve the criminal justice response and support victims through the criminal justice system.
