Turning the tap off! : incapacity benefit in Glasgow and Scotland : trends over the past five years

Report drawing upon a range of statistical and other sources to construct a detailed picture of the incapacity benefit population in Glasgow and compare this with the west of Scotland and Scotland as a whole. The purpose was to produce a body of evidence which would assist in the task of improving the health and wellbeing of this population.

Summary of the main findings of research which looked at the Legal Representation Grant Scheme, a scheme which permits children's hearings to appoint legally qualified individuals to represent children when this is required. The purpose was to review the operation of the scheme and inform its future development.

The educational attainment of looked after children: local authority pilot projects - summary of the final research report

A summary version of the research report identifying interventions that appeared to make the most differences in terms of both the educational experience and the educational outcomes of the looked after children and young people participating in the pilot projects. The report was produced by Strathclyde University and published by the Scottish Government.

Identifying the priorities of tenants of social landlords

Report of a research project which aimed to identify tenants priorities for social housing provided by Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) and local authorities and find out their understanding and opinion of 'value' in terms of the service delivered by their landlords compared to other landlords.

This research was carried out in connection with the Scottish Government's aim to give tenants greater influence with social housing providers.
