Report of a study which aimed to examine in depth young people's experiences of partner violence and the best ways to respond to this problem. The study used a broad definition of violence which encompassed emotional, verbal, physical and sexual forms of violence. These were studied both in isolation and as they co-exist within young people's relationships.

Reviews recent literature on how early years experiences may impact on life chances for different groups of the population. Life chances can cover a range of opportunities that people can experience as they become adults and into their later life. Women’s voices — experiences and perceptions of women facing drug problems

Epidemiological studies routinely collect quantitative data on gender differences in drug use (e.g. prevalence, mortality), but far less is published on the qualitative aspects of female drug problems. This review presents quotations gleaned from interviews with women in eight countries. Through these testimonies, the report illustrates how qualitative research can provide glimpses into the experiences and perceptions of women facing drug issues that statistics alone cannot provide.

Domestic violence (Radio 4 series: Woman's Hour)

This episode of Radio 4's Woman's Hour series looks at whether domestic violence is a gender issue. The most recent British Crime Survey shows that one in four women and one in six men have suffered domestic violence at some point in their lives.
