Transition through detention and custody: arrangements for learning and skills for young people in custodial or secure settings

The report evaluates the range and effectiveness of the arrangements for education and training for several categories of young people: those identified for their likelihood of offending; young offenders who move into custodial establishments then are transferred between different establishments while in custody; and those who move between custody and the community. The report illustrates good practice and makes recommendations for improvement.

Guidance document laying out the arrangements which should be implemented to manage the risks presented by young people exhibiting harmful sexual behaviour and who are living independently but not being managed within MAPPA. It also acts as a framework for effective multi-agency working between agencies involved with this group, especially social workers and housing providers.

Summary of the main findings of research which looked at the Legal Representation Grant Scheme, a scheme which permits children's hearings to appoint legally qualified individuals to represent children when this is required.
