Bulletin which is the first in a series of supplementary volumes that accompany the main annual Home Office Statistical Bulletin, ‘Crime in England and Wales 2010/11’.

Figures included in this bulletin are from the British Crime Survey (BCS), a large, nationally representative, face-to-face victimisation survey in which people resident in households in England and Wales are asked about their experiences of crime in the 12 months prior to interview.

Scottish social services sector report on 2010 workforce data

Key points from the report include: * the high level of workforce growth which was seen in the sector between the mid-90s and 2005/6 has slowed for the second year running with the social services workforce growing by around 1,000 people, representing 0.5% growth * the private sector employed an extra 2,000 staff increasing its overall share and making it the largest employer in the sector with 40% of the workforce * the public sector employs 34% of the total social care workforce * 69.5% of the private workforce is employed in care homes for adults.

Statistical release that provides information about looked after children in England for the year ending 31 March 2011. It includes information on the number of looked after children, the reason why a child is looked after, their legal status and placement type.

It also includes information on the number of children who started to be looked after during the year ending 31 March 2011 and the number of children who ceased to be looked after during the year.
