Research to develop a better understanding of the nature and dynamics of violence in vulnerable teenagers’ intimate relationships; to examine the impact of physical, emotional and sexual violence on young people’s well-being; and to identify appropriate responses. The study set out to explore if some disadvantaged groups experienced greater vulnerability to intimate partner violence than others, and if so, to develop a better understanding regarding the factors that may contribute to this susceptibility. The research aimed to contribute to the development of more appropriate prevention and intervention services for different groups of vulnerable young people.
