This is Shared Care Scotland's response to the Scottish Governments release of the respite data 2011.
The Scottish Government released the 2011 data for provision of respite in Local Authority areas across Scotland. The statistics are presented in "respite weeks provided or arranged by local authorities" and then further broken down into "respite nights" and "respite days" for three age groups: 0-17, 18-64 and 65+. Much of the data is not comparable to the first year of collection (2006/7) due to methodological changes. The changes made mean that future years’ data will be directly comparable across councils.
