Dental care and dementia

The Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. They produce information and advice sheets to support those affected by dementia.

Good oral health is important for a person’s sense of well-being and quality of life. Poor oral health can lead to pain and tooth loss, affecting self-esteem and the ability to eat, laugh and smile. This information sheet outlines some advice on dental care for people with dementia.
