Assistive technology

The Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. They produce information and advice sheets to support those affected by dementia.

Dementia can make day-to-day life more difficult. Little things like forgetting to turn the gas off or letting the bath overflow can cause great damage and may put the person with dementia and others in danger.

This information sheet looks at technological developments that can help make life easier for people with dementia and their carers. It also suggests the steps to take if you think that you, or someone you are caring for, could benefit from some of these devices.
