Survey that is the latest in a series of surveys conducted by the Ipsos MORI Social Research Institute on behalf of the Department of Health between spring 2000 and December 2012. The aim of the survey is to explore public attitudes towards, and perceptions of, the NHS and social care services, and to provide a means of tracking these perceptions and attitudes over time.

Report that looks at how far government and other organisations are making information about social care more easily available. It examines the challenges that organisations providing home care services face in responding to service users’ choices and the help that local authorities can give these organisations to meet such challenges.
It also reviews the available research evidence on how service users, carers and professionals balance the benefits of choice against the potential risks involved.

This review aims to assess how consumers are involved in deciding what research should be undertaken and if they have any influence. This systematic review was published by EPPI-Centre in 2004. Systematic reviews aim to find as much as possible of the research relevant to the particular research questions, and use explicit methods to identify what can reliably be said on the basis of these studies.
