Reusable Learning Objects and Learning Designs

This podcast is of a workshop presented at the E-learning in the Workplace conference in January 2007. The workshop commences with an introduction to the Reusable Learning Object (RLO) project at the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), a demonstration of RLOs followed by a brief introduction to pedagogical design guidellnes. Participants will brainstorm a learning design for an RLO in pairs or small groups using the RLO-CETL Pedagogical Design Sheet. These designs will then be presented and discussed.

This podcast is taken from the ‘Forgotten Citizens’ Conference held in Glasgow on the 17th June and features Jo Cochrane, welcoming delegates back to the main conference and talking about why she feels its so important not to lose the histories of people with learning disabilities. he is followed by James Withers talking about his work with the Scottish Youth Parliament and how his role has changed over time. Finally Alan May, who is James’ buddy at the Scottish Youth Parliament shares his experiences of supporting James and becoming his friend over time.
