Strategy that is built on the views of children and young people, parents and carers, the play sector and others involved in their wellbeing. Together with the action plan it seeks to improve the play experiences of all children and young people, including those with disabilities or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Report that summarises the action in hand to support carers and young carers. It addresses many of the issues raised by carers and young carers at the first Carers Parliament. It also takes on board some of the concerns raised. Better outcomes are being achieved for some carers and young carers.
The Scottish Government recently released the 2012 data for the provision of respite in Local Authority areas across Scotland. The statistics are presented in "respite weeks provided or purchased by local authorities" and then further broken down into "overnight" and "daytime" respite for three age groups: 0-17, 18-64 and 65+. Much of the data is only comparable on a year-to-year basis due to methodological changes that have taken place over time. However a number of helpful comparisons are possible.
Successor document to Delivering for Mental Health and Towards a Mentally Flourishing Scotland. It builds on that work as well as on policy and service improvements taken forward alongside those main policy documents.
The National Carers’ Strategy Demonstrator Sites programme was developed by the Department of Health as part of the commitments made in the July 2008 National Carers’ Strategy Carers at the Heart of 21st Century Families and Communities. These commitments included new measures to improve carers’ health and well-being and were incorporated into DH financial plans in 2008-9.This report explores the extent to which the DS were able to meet their objectives and draws out learning from their experiences of delivering services to carers in new ways.
Strategy document that sets out some objectives which will provide the foundations for a local strategy and framework for local areas to put in place their own arrangements, which seek to ensure that everything is done to prevent people going missing in the first place, but also ensure the reduction of harm to vulnerable children and adults when they do go missing, focusing on those most at risk, and ensuring that families are supported.
Report that has been prepared by the membership of the Drugs Strategy Delivery Commission (DSDC). It represents the first formal output from a new strategic entity, created to give independent objective advice to ministers on the progress being made, to deliver the aims of the national strategy to address problem drug use.
The Scottish Government and COSLA are determined to ensure that carers are supported to manage their caring responsibilities with confidence and in good health, and to have a life of their own outside of caring. This is the strategy to make that happen.
