Recognising complexity: commissioning guidance for personality disorder services

Practice guidance for commissioners in the NHS, criminal justice system, local authorities and others, to help them improve outcomes for people with personality disorders.

The guidance provides information and suggestions on best practice drawn from pilot services and from service users, and is organised into four sections which provide information on: an overview of the broad context; key areas for effective commissioning; commissioning dedicated personality disorder services; and commissioning for groups with particular needs.

Building on firm foundations : improving end of life care in care homes : examples of innovative practice

Document containing a number of case studies exemplifying innovative practice in end of life care taking place in care homes in England. The case studies illustrate how employing new approaches to end of life care can help to improve the quality of care, cut unnecessary hospital admissions and ensure more people end their lives in the place and manner of their choosing.

Scottish Executive : Child Protection Review

This consultation exercise was conducted as part of the wider Child Protection Review. It was undertaken in 2001/2002 and comprised of a questionnaire circulated to a wide range of statutory and voluntary sector agencies involved with and concerned about matters relating to child protection; and a web site that was available for members of the general public to record their views and comments on, about matters relating to child protection.
