This document is in response to the 'Towards a strategy to support volunteering in health and social care' consultation. It sets out messages heard during the consultation process through nine regional workshops held around England, an on-line questionnaire; and detailed written responses received by the Department of Health.

Scottish Executive : Child Protection Review

This consultation exercise was conducted as part of the wider Child Protection Review. It was undertaken in 2001/2002 and comprised of a questionnaire circulated to a wide range of statutory and voluntary sector agencies involved with and concerned about matters relating to child protection; and a web site that was available for members of the general public to record their views and comments on, about matters relating to child protection.

A study into local authority charging for non-residential social care services

A stakeholder task and finish group was formed to advise Welsh Assembly Government Ministers on options for introducing consistency to non residential social care charges. This report begins with a summary of the consultation activity and an overview of stakeholder views. The main focus of the report is identifying and assessing policy options aimed at achieving greater consistency in charging for non residential social care services in Wales.

The adoption (disclosure of medical information about natural parents) (Scotland) regulations 2009: response to consultation on draft regulations

This consultation dealt with the draft Adoption (Disclosure of Medical Information about Natural parents) (Scotland) Regulations. As these regulations are subject to affirmative Parliamentary procedures they will now be included in a single set of regulations with the Adoption (Disclosure of Information) (Scotland) Regulations.

Reducing the risk : improving the response to sex offending

The aim of this Report was to develop a cohesive framework for dealing with sex offending. Some of the 73 recommendations build on the policies and processes already in place in order to strengthen existing measures aimed at protecting communities from sex offenders. Other recommendations support the introduction of new measures and new arrangements which will help to deliver a safer environment.
