Consultation on the proposal to develop an acknowledgement and accountability approach for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse

Consultation developed with the National Reference Group, set up to implement the recommendations of Survivor Scotland.

This paper was designed to draw on the views and experiences of survivors particularly and it was acknowledged from the start that more innovative methods were needed to ensure that this happened. A number of events were held with survivors and survivor organisations to raise their awareness of the consultation and engage them in discussions.

Group and individual interviews were also carried out with survivors, facilitated by survivor organisations.

Report to the Secretary of State on the Review of Elective Home Education in England

This review has been triggered by a range of issues and representations, not least being the quite proper concern to ensure that systems for keeping children safe and ensuring that they receive a suitable education are as robust as possible.

The review was conducted by means of structured interview with a range of stakeholders including home educating parents and children, visits to local authorities and home education groups, a public call for evidence and a questionnaire to all top tier local authorities in England.

Continuous learning framework

The Continuous Learning Framework (CLF) was developed by IRISS in conjunction with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for the whole social services workforce. The CLF aims to improve the quality of outcomes for people using social services by supporting the people who are involved in delivering these services to be the best they can be.
