Mapping knowledge support for care of older people in health and social care partnerships: final report

Consilium Research and Consultancy Ltd (Consilium) and TWRI Policy and Research (TWRI) were commissioned by NHS Education for Scotland (NES) in January 2013 to map the knowledge support for care of older people in health and social care partnerships. The research focuses on the local context in two emergent Health and Social Care Partnerships - Edinburgh City and Argyll & Bute.

Knowledge into practice: a strategy and action plan for embedding knowledge in practice in Scotland's social services

The strategy describes how a collaboration between Scottish Government, the NHS Education for Scotland, the Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Services, the Imporovement Service for Local Government, the Scottish Social Services Council and the Association of Directors of Social Work will improve outcomes through putting new knowledge into practice.

The consortium of universities has a proven track record in social work and social care research, as well as providing social work education at qualifying and post qualifying levels. These common interests provide a foundation to promote '‘knowledge-based practice” in social work and social care.
