Youth Tracker, Issue 1

Young people growing up in Britain today are more technology literate than ever before, and are exposed to an increasingly globalised world with, in theory at least, a wealth of opportunities. But for those living in our most disadvantaged communities in particular, finding a path to a solid future can be very challenging, especially in these difficult economic times.

The aim of this newsletter series, therefore, is to focus on what the recession – and the recovery when it comes – mean for the most disadvantaged young people, particularly those not in employment, education or training. New insights have been gathered and opinion from key academics and policy experts, provide a round-up of new research, statistics and news about what is happening on the ground.
