This resource is the website for the National Centre for Work Based Learning Partnerships. Work Based Learning is a modern way of creating university-level learning in the workplace. Its special work-linked features enable learning to take place at, through - and be centred on - the working environment.

By using an actual work role and an organisations' objectives as the focus for academic enquiry Work Based Learning is uniquely structured to benefit both the individual employee and the employing organisations. Work Based Learning helps to enhance and improve in-house training systems and supply accreditation so that training is formally recognised.
