Report that presents the results of the Maternity and Paternity Rights Survey conducted in 2009 and 2010.
The Maternity Rights Survey series has been monitoring take-up of maternity benefits and mothers’post-birth employment decisions since the late 1970s.
For this survey, just over 2,000 face-to-face interviews were conducted with mothers whose children were aged between 12 and 18 months in autumn 2009 and who had worked at some point in the 12 months before the baby’s birth. The sample was selected from Child Benefit recipients in Britain and interviews were conducted over two years in autumn 2009 and 2010.
