Life after 80 - BBC Radio 4 The seven ages of humanity

Four Radio 4 programmes in a series about the health and wellbeing of the seven ages of humanity. These four programmes explore life experiences and issues for people in their eighties.

The first programme examines the pre-occupations of a new generation who are experiencing the so-called fourth age; the second looks at octogenarian athletes; the third at how major diseases, which are common in the elderly such as heart failure and cancer, are being addressed; and the final programme discusses the subject of death, both with elderly people facing death and medical professionals concerned with the care of the dying.
