home care

Report of the proceedings of a workshop the purpose of which was to explore the benefits and advantages of including a variety of stakeholders in the design of home care technology and show how this technology can enhance health and social care delivery at home.

Toolkit that signposts homecare providers to everything they need to write or review policies and procedures for protecting vulnerable adults from harm. It has been designed to equip providers with information on: the nature of abuse, and how it is defined; national guidance on adult protection by all four UK administrations; regulatory requirements on dealing with abuse in domiciliary care; processes for keeping abusers out of the social care workforce; issues surrounding the management of finances, whistleblowing and confidentiality; and training including induction and supervision.
