This is the final report of a scoping group that aimed to explore a range of issues concerning the general health of people with mental health problems with a view to making recommendations to the Council of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Report of a study which assessed the role of respite care for various groups including children with complex needs, adults with learning disabilities, multiple sclerosis and schizophrenia sufferers and frail elderly people. It also identified the most appropriate outcome measures for use with these groups in the evaluation of respite care.

Clydesdale Befriending Group

The aim of the Clydesdale Befriending Group was to encourage social inclusion of adults with learning disabilities through matching befriendees with volunteer befrienders who provide social support.

Its website ceased to exist in 2010. A video describing its work is available.
