This resource was produced by the Integrated Care Network (ICN) which provides information and support to frontline NHS and Local Government organisations seeking to improve the quality of provision to users, patients and carers by integrating the planning and delivery of services.

Key to the role of the ICN is the facilitation of communication between frontline organisations and central government, so that policy and practice inform each other effectively. The ICN is part of the Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP).

Report of a study which set out to gather evidence regarding the effects of citizen participation and whether involvement in community organisations assists people to connect with wider society. It also explored the processes at work in these organisations which allowed them to engage with citizens effectively.

The impact of integrated services on children and their families in Sure Start children's centres

Report evaluating the impact of integrated services on children, parents and families in 20 children's centres in England visited between June and December 2008.

Inspectors found that integration of services was having a positive impact as far as support for children and parents is concerned in over half the centres visited.
