Report of a study which examined the nature and provision of care by nurses and allied health professionals to children and young people with complex needs across Scotland.
Information was gathered from workforce development plans and a survey of practitioners to build up a picture of where children and young people receive care, the knowledge and skills required to provide that care and the challenges facing services.
Report examining the residential care workforce in Scotland. It looks at what is known about the profile of the current residential workforce and makes recommendations for change and improvements so that the increasingly diverse and complex needs of children and young people can be better met.
Safeguarders are persons who may be appointed by children’s hearings or sheriffs when they think this is required to safeguard the interests of the child in the proceedings. Their role is to provide support and advice for the proceedings.
The aim of this study is to describe and evaluate the current use and operation of safeguarders in Scotland.
