Investigating Crime using the British Crime Survey

This resource uses the study of crime in society to show how existing data sources can be utilised, and as such, this project is relevant to a range of social science disciplines, such as sociology, politics, psychology and media studies. The project is also relevant to citizenship studies. The resources can be used for A level syllabi but are also highly applicable for undergraduate and postgraduate learning.

Social research: data security review

In July 2008 the Scottish Government commissioned Scott Moncrieff to review the data security procedures within eight research contractors who had regularly been commissioned to carry out social research on behalf of the Scottish Government.

Young people (18-24) and their financial information needs

Report examining the information needs of young people with regard to personal finance and looking at ways in which information may be altered to make it more effective, including removing structural and psychological barriers preventing information reaching young people.
