Prevention and response to identity-based bullying among local authorities in England, Scotland and Wales

This project was commissioned by the Equality and Human Rights Commission in December 2009 with the aim of providing an insight into identity-based bullying of young people in schools and in the wider community, and examining the preventative and responsive strategies currently being used to address it in local authorities across England, Scotland and Wales.

Introduction to law (English)

This learning object is suitable especially for an opening module, as it provides an orientation into the subject and will stimulate debate on tricky legal and ethical issues. Introduction to Law sets out to make users aware of: the importance and relevance of law; how interesting law can be; the many ways that law impacts upon our lives and work; the importance of Law to social work practice; and the connections between Law and social work values. 'Why Study Law' asks you to reflect upon how you see the law through a 10 question quiz.

Journeys of Recovery. Audio recordings. Episode 3

Episode Three of the Scottish Recovery Network's Journeys of Recovery podcast features the stories 'Tracky bottoms and trainers versus make-up and heels', 'Coming out of the fog' and 'Psychotic and proud'. The narrative was derived from an interview conducted as part of the 'Recovering mental health in Scotland' (2007) for the Scottish Recovery Network. It was collaboratively written by interviewer and interviewee and is available in print form in the 'Journeys of recovery' booklet produced by the SRN.
