Report exploring the causes and costs of all types of violence in the UK, looking at the interventions which have proved effective in tackling violence and discussing what more can be done to reduce violence in society.

Less crime, lower costs : implementing effective early crime reduction programmes in England and Wales

Report identifying ten examples of crime reduction and prevention programmes which have proved effective and cost-effective in countries outwith the UK. These programmes address a combination of risk factors at each stage of a child's development and the report recommends similar programmes should be developed in the UK.

Diversion : a better way for criminal justice and mental health

Report assessing the case for diversion for offenders with mental health problems from a value for money viewpoint. It concludes from the evidence that well-designed arrangements for diversion have the potential to produce many benefits such as cost and efficiency savings within the criminal justice system and improvements in mental health.
