Food, training and learning disability: a report on a food and health training project for support workers

This report focuses on the work of a small selection of people in Scotland to promote healthy eating among people with learning disabilities. The report will be of interest to those in the learning disability sector with a responsibility for, or interest in, food, health or training. It will also be of use to those who are involved in the delivery or promotion of the REHIS (Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland) Elementary Food and Health course, which this work was based on.

Citizen Leadership Programme

A series of 12 videos commissioned by SCLD (Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability), EDG (Edinburgh Development Group) , Heartfelt, ARC (Association for Real Change) Scotland on the subject of Citizen Leadership. Each video features a service user or carer talking about their experiences.

Jeannie Smith : Alcohol : Case Narrative

This short training scenario was originally used in the context of introductory child protection training. It gives brief information from which participants are asked to identify what they are concerned about and what they would do next. Jeanie and her husband have a history of alcohol misuse. They have an 11 year old son, whom Jeanie says is misbehaving.
