The aim of EThOS is:
- To offer a 'single point of access' where researchers the world over can access all theses produced by UK Higher Education
- To support Higher Education Institutions through the transition from print to e-theses
- To help UK Higher Education Institutions expand available content by digitising paper theses
- To demonstrate the quality of UK research and help attract students and research investment into UK HE.
Social Science Research Network (SSRN) is devoted to worldwide dissemination of social science research and is composed of a number of specialised research networks in each of the social sciences.
The SSRN eLibrary consists of two parts: an Abstract Database containing abstracts on over 436,900 scholarly working papers and forthcoming papers and an Electronic Paper Collection currently containing over 351,300 downloadable full text documents in Adobe Acrobat pdf format. The eLibrary also includes the research papers of a number of Fee Based Partner Publications.

BioMed Central is an STM (Science, Technology and Medicine) publisher of 220 open access, online, peer-reviewed journals.
All original research articles published by BioMed Central are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication.
A federated search engine harvesting 146 digital libraries and institutional repositories.
BASE is an open access repository service of the Bielefeld University Library that provides more than 36 million documents from more than 2,200 sources. It offers access to the full texts of about 75% of the indexed documents.
A Mimas project which was commissioned by JISC in partnership with UKOLN and SHERPA. The project was completed in July 2009, but the service has been running continuously since then.
The project has taken cross-search and aggregation to the next level, creating a visionary platform that pulls together disparate content, making it easier to search and discover in ways that meet personal or contextual needs.
