GIRFEC: Wellbeing Web

What is it? The Wellbeing Web has been developed by practitioners in Angus and is intended to be an interactive and engaging process to measure outcomes. This tool is based on an affirmative coaching model focusing on people's potential rather than their problems. It is used to support and assist growth and change. For more information about the development of the Wellbeing Web, see the case study Measuring outcomes in Angus on the IRISS website.

Talking Points: housing support

What is it? Developed by Key Community Support, this tool's primary focus is on an existing service the provider has been commissioned to provide. However, the scope of conversation is determined by what the individual says is important to them and their quality of life.

Who is it for? Suitable for work with adult service users and their carers.

Talking Points: personal outcomes approach - practical guide

Guide developed by the Joint Improvement Team to support the continued implementation of the Talking Points: Personal Outcomes Approach. While the Talking Points approach was developed primarily with reference to health and social care, it is increasingly evident that many of the principles and practice issues are relevant to outcomes based working across service sectors. The guide draws together evidence from research and practice and presents an overview of the key messages and learning from that work.

An outcomes framework for young people

Outcomes framework designed to support understanding and measurement of the connections between intrinsic personal and social development outcomes and longer-term extrinsic outcomes. The framework: - Proposes a model of seven interlinked clusters of social and emotional capabilities that are of value to all young people, supported by a strong evidence base demonstrating the links to longer-term outcomes. - Sets out a matrix of available tools to measure these capabilities, outlining which capabilities they cover, and key criteria such as their cost and the number of users.
