Voice against violence: young people's experiences of domestic abuse policy-making in Scotland

Study undertaken from a feminist and children's rights perspective that emerged from the growing body of literature on children's experiences of domestic abuse, the challenges of childhood studies and the opportunities arising out of the changed socio-political landscape of Scotland since devoltion.

Domestic abuse recorded by the police in Scotland 2010-11 and 2011-12

Bulletin that presents statistics on domestic abuse, based on details of incidents supplied by the eight Scottish police forces in 2010-11 and 2011-12. It forms part of the Scottish Government series of statistical bulletins on the criminal justice system.

The figures are used to inform policy and, in conjunction with the Scottish Crime and Justice Survey, are used to measure the extent and nature of domestic abuse in Scotland.

All babies count: prevention and protection for vulnerable babies

Based on extensive research, consultation and original analysis, this report adds new dimensions to the case for early intervention.

It shines a light on the disproportionate vulnerability of babies to abuse and neglect; and it provides the first estimates of the numbers of babies affected by parental problems of substance misuse, mental illness and domestic abuse.
